“ I saw a review saying that the owner of this ramen restaurant is Japanese. I decided to drive half an hour to try it. I found this store a little hard to find. After arriving, I found out that it was in the same store as Publix. Kagoshima Tonkotsu Ramen is a bit pricey $23! Noodles are bold. The soup has a slightly spicy taste. I think the noodle bowl is really big, but the soup is a bit small. The noodle portion is not big enough. The fried shrimp and pork dumplings were also good. The overall consumption level is relatively high Suitable for people who like to eat original Japanese ramen ”
“ I had an amazing experience at this Japanese restaurant! The ramen was absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Natalie took great care of us; she was attentive, friendly, and made the whole dining experience even better. ”
“ This is my daughter and I’s go-to dinner spot. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Some of our favorites are the pork gyoza, onigiri, and ramen. Rocky is always welcoming and super attentive. Best Japanese food in Florida! ”
“ We’d been craving to visit this place for weeks, and it was definitely worth it—the ramen was superb! The tempura shrimp, however, was a bit dry and lacked flavor, possibly overcooked. Still, highly recommend this spot for the ramen. We’ll definitely be coming back to try the rice dishes! ”
“ I recently visited Shimuja and it was amazing. The ramen had incredible depth of flavor—rich, savory, and satisfying. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic with dim lighting, red Japanese lanterns, and even a samurai outfit on display, which really set the mood. Everything came out fresh and hot. The highlight for me was the Kagoshima Special ramen. I added an egg and got the spicy miso on the side—highly recommend! Every element felt thoughtfully prepared. I did take off one star because it took about twenty minutes for us to get cashed out. Our waitress left, then was busy, and eventually someone else had to cash us out. Still, if you’re looking for a quiet, authentic ramen experience with bold flavors, Shimuja is absolutely worth it. ”
